This world acclaimed territory wildlife park is nestled in 400 hectares of natural bushland and is only a 45 minute drive south of darwin. Later, watch the spectacle of pelicans soaring in to enjoy their meal, sit down and relax, as wild birds and animals enjoy the sanctuary of the park's billabong. Explore a representation of top end river system from the escarpment down to the mangroves on the coast, and immerse yourself in the underwater world of the aquarium tunnel. Catch a glimpse of the elusive nocturnal creatures of the top end, a group representing 80 per cent of the territory's wildlife. During a visit to the territory wildlife park, travellers can expect to view the spectacular free flight and natural behaviour of the northern territory's birds of prey. A visit to the park can easily be combined with a refreshing swim afterwards at the neighbouring berry springs nature park. Highlights of the park include an extensive aquarium with a walk through tunnel where you can stand nose to nose with a 3.7 metre saltwater crocodile, the daily birds of prey display, the nocturnal house and the monsoon forest walk. The park showcases the wildlife of the top end, which you can see up close and in their natural habitats. Finally, explore a monsoon rainforest, peek through the bird hide at goose lagoon and get up close to park creatures during the animal encounters and presentations.

At the Territory Wildlife Park, not only do you see wildlife up close in their natural habitats, you face them walking through tree top aviaries, strolling around a instinctive lagoon and even get to interact with them during daily presentations. You stroll beneath the surface in our walk through aquarium and confront some of the Top End’s maximum amazing aquatic life. You meet, nose to nose, with our giant Saltwater Kroc. It’s the closest you’ll ever get to a salty without risking a scratch! Our experienced team love sharing their knowledge of the wildlife and the habitats in their care. It’s what our people are passionate about. Along with presenting the plants, animals and habitats of the Top Final we are also beginning to introduce the stories of the Aboriginal groups who have called this region home. We are developing relationships with the KungarakanWarrai families who have been identified (by the Aboriginal Areas Concern Authority) as Custodians of sacred sites within the Territory Wildlife Park to ensure that these stories are accurate, authentic and appropriate. Koongurukan people believe that the land obvious to them as Loki Koongurukan is the store or country of their beginning. They were born to the land as Koongurukan people. The land nurtures and provides for them as a mother would and the culture that the land provides is passed on through the language which is the voice of the land. The country or land is regarded as their mother and has claim over them as mothers do. The Northern Territory Public Sector, as the largest single employer within the Northern Territory, is responsible for providing a important range of services to the community. The Merit Selection Guide was developed by the Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment to foster a fair, consistent and equitable process that is both pliable and speedy in its application.

At the Territory Wildlife Park, not only do you see wildlife up accessible in their spontaneous habitats, you meet them walking through tree top aviaries, strolling around a natural lagoon and even get to interact with them during daily presentations. All other guests attending the party and Park will be needed to pay relevant entry fees to the Park, unless they already retain a stylish Territory Wildlife Park membership card. Savage Birthday parties are set up in the picnic area near the playground in the Main Station. Identification is needed with your pass when re visiting the park. There are three main walking tracks, which we highly recommend that you visit to appreciate the biodiversity of the Park. There are toilets located at the Main Station, Aquarium and Aviaries. The Territory Wildlife Park is divided into three distinct habitats: Wetlands are instinctive depressions along rivers and floodplains where residual water, providing an abundance of resources for animals and plants, remains healthy behind the rains have stopped falling. As the name suggest, Monsoon Vine Forests rely heavily on the water provided by the dense monsoonal rain each Wet season.
